Enjoy the Greek Islands
Dates: April 2008
Cost:
We did get a group pulled together for a trip to the Greek Islands, but we are still seeking adventurers to fill out the group. On the mainland we will explore Athens, Kalambaka, Meteora, Delphi and Tholos. The trip includes a cruise which will visit the islands of Poros, Tinos, Delos, Mykonos, Santorini, and Naxos. I had a number of people who have painted with me before and wanted to see more of the islands. This is a great chance for sightseeing. There are still additional spaces saved to enlarge our group on this trip, but I won't be able to hold them for much longer. I have one person who still needs a roommate so if you are a single female who would like a travel companion for the trip, let me know soonest. You do not need to be an artist for this portion of the trip.
After the cruise, I will return to the island of Amorgos for a painting trip. For those of you that really want to paint, this is your chance. I cannot make any real plans and give prices until I know how many of you are interested. A few years ago, when Brad and Sandy Offutt made all of the arrangements, the fee was $2,295.00 and that did not include airfare. This time we will go directly from the cruise to the ferry to Amorgos and spend about a week in Langada. I will work out the details of hotel, meals, transportation, etc with Nikos, the owner of the hotel.
Anyway I do need to know how many artists wish to join me, so I will know what the price range will be and how many really plan to go. I have learned from experience that this is no easy task. The charming village of Langada is worth the effort. For those of you who were with me a few years ago, you know that there is a painting around every turn in the road!
